Aluminum and Alzheimer's
Refined salt contains additives to prevent the salt from sticking together due to moisture. The additives commonly used are compounds of aluminum and silicon with sodium and calcium, silicon dioxide (glass and ceramics), magnesium carbonate, among others, components that accumulate and affect the nervous system in the long term.
Scientific studies for more than 40 years have discovered a correlation between aluminum and the neurodegenerative disease Alzheimer's. In a study conducted by researchers in the United Kingdom, published in the scientific journal 'Journal of Alzheimer's Disease', researchers found significant amounts of aluminum in the brain tissue of donors with hereditary Alzheimer's. The results suggest that known genetic predispositions to increase beta amyloid protein in brain tissue also predispose individuals to accumulate and retain aluminum in brain tissue. This research confirms that within the normal lifespan of human beings, there would be no cases of Alzheimer's if there were no aluminum in brain tissue.
